Public Health Communication and Growth
摘要
Public health communication has made a remarkable impact on economic growth the world over, sub-Saharan African (SSA) included. However, despite the positive effects on economic growth, there are a few contradicting statements. This study used descriptive research design to examine the linkage between public health communication and economic growth. The study shows that while health communication has some negative or no influence on economic growth, other scholars dismiss it saying some of the sceptical views reported to have of the impact on the programmes were either small or not established well. It shows further that the programmes, if run poorly, can register no impact.
