The Operating Obstacles and the Strategy Followed by Greek Innovative Firms in the Supply Chain Sector

In recent times, innovative firms in the supply chain sector have faced various obstacles in their course to sustainability. Through this context, many of these companies have planned efficient strategies to overcome various obstacles. These obstacles mainly refer to the operational level of firms and are analyzed in this chapter. The focus of this chapter has been the elaboration of the most common operational obstacles in the supply chain sector, as well as the dynamic capabilities of the firms, in order to propose opportunities and strategies to these firms for exploitation. To do this, the factor analysis was utilized. Through this research, it has been found that there are two main obstacles for supply chain firms, technological and economical problems, with the first barrier affecting more companies with highly skilled staff, while the second barrier affecting more companies that are looking for alternative ways to cope with their daily problems.
