摘要

Green innovation has greatly emerged in the last decade in Greece, while current issues such as climate change and geopolitical turmoil bring problems and configurations in the supply chain, with the effects reaching the final recipient of each product. It is not uncommon for these issues to be of global concern. At the same time, the legal framework undoubtedly plays a decisive role in the smooth running of various functions of a system, such as a country. There is, therefore, room for research on how Greece’s legal framework manages the growing interest in green innovation and responds to the global or local challenges that arise. A competent tool that can examine and qualitatively evaluate the legal framework in terms of the applicability of green innovation in the supply chain is the SWOT Analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). A specific methodology was adopted and the groundwork was laid to implement the analysis on the subject. Finally, using this tool, several conclusions were drawn regarding the legal framework of Greece, mainly in terms of its ability to respond and adapt, through the application of green innovation, to potential problems and requirements in the supply chain.
