My Journey as a Writer
摘要
In this piece, I reflect upon my own writing journey, from being a reporter, a translator, and a researcher in the newsroom, to writing for a global audience about my country. Journalistic storytelling is impartial, often done with an emotional distance from the subjects caught up in a news event. During my journalism days, I was surrounded by exceptional writers and editors. It was, however, in Canada where my real writer identity was born. Through word building and writing of a different kind, I seek to understand my own place in a country I hope to one day call home.
