School Subjects in the Service of Peace and the Individual
摘要
Chapters 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 and 22 analyse the IBE’s positioning with regard to what it referred to itself as “causes” on its work agenda: five sets of causes are focused on. This chapter focuses on the discussions about what to teach, how to teach it and for what purpose. School subjects were considered as a way of organising content in a complementary way, although a better balance should be developed. Active methods and group work should be privileged and contents defined in line with the child’s development as defined by psychology.
