Michael Polanyi and the Post-Critical Approach to Philosophy

This chapter opens with a biographical overview of Michael Polanyi’s life and work before focusing on the post-critical orientation of his philosophical project. It includes an explanation of his fiduciary epistemology of tacit knowledge and begins to gesture toward commonalities between Polanyi’s post-critical ethos and Plato’s philosophy.
