Comparative Analysis of Data Sets for Developing and Evaluating Defensive Mechanisms Against Distributed Denial of Service Attack
摘要
Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks are becoming more frequent and complex, and they can cause serious damage to web servers and networks. The development of defensive mechanisms against DDoS attacks requires a reliable and comprehensive data set that reflects the characteristics of the attacks. In this paper, we survey the existing DDoS data sets and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. We then propose a selection criterion for choosing an appropriate data set for developing and evaluating defensive mechanisms against DDoS attacks.
