With the arrival of the metaverse, the rising digital experience in the virtual world may become a tangible reality. Users would have an immersive experience in the virtual world thanks to augmented reality, virtual reality, extended reality, and artificial intelligence algorithms. However, new security vulnerabilities are being introduced by the proliferation of these technologies, which threatens the success of the metaverse. Due to this, researchers are advising the use of blockchain to increase authentication and trust in the metaverse. In this context, we analyze the development of blockchain-based theories and protocols for metaverse security. We used the Scopus database to collect the relevant articles. This research helps the researchers to get a better understanding of the development in the field of blockchain-based detection technique for the metaverse.
