Occupational therapists have very distinct roles in providing home care services. There are benefits to providing occupational therapy services in the home environment. These services are used to assist the patients in managing their limitations, adjusting to change, and functioning as independently as possible in their home environment. Occupational therapists are frequently valuable assets to interprofessional teams when providing services to older adults.
