Assistive technology (AT) is an important segment in improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. In recent years, AT has taken a central role in the rehabilitation process for people with various disabilities. Equally important, AT has become a key component of inclusive education, supporting access to learning, communication, mobility, daily activities, and body positioning, thereby enhancing participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Inclusive education greatly benefits from AT, as it facilitates accessibility and adaptability, making its implementation more effective and inclusive for all students. However, despite the well-documented benefits of AT, extensive knowledge in the field, and established systems for its implementation, numerous challenges and barriers remain. These include not only difficulties in practical application but also the need for a systemic approach to ensuring AT accessibility for all students who require it. At the same time, these challenges present opportunities for further advancements in inclusive education. Thus, it is essential to explore successful models of AT implementation from different contexts and develop strategies to improve its availability. Simultaneously, continuous efforts to raise awareness about the significance of AT in inclusive education are crucial for overcoming barriers and ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
