Multivitamin Support in Chronic Disease Management for Disabilities
摘要
This chapter examines multivitamin supplementation for the management of chronic illnesses in individuals with impairments. Individuals with disabilities are at an elevated risk for chronic health disorders owing to many variables, such as impairments, restricted mobility, and challenges in receiving comprehensive health care. This chapter commences by examining the nutritional challenges and deficiencies prevalent in this population that lead to chronic conditions such as cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, followed by an investigation of potential strategies through which multivitamin supplementation may alleviate these effects by enhancing immune function, reducing inflammation, and optimizing metabolic regulation. This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of clinical data and research results about multivitamin therapies on several health outcomes, including disease severity, quality of life, and general well-being in handicapped populations. Practical aspects of multivitamin supplementation are also discussed, including dosage, timing, and integration into holistic care strategies. This chapter examines future directions and research requirements, including current studies, developing evidence, and possible synergies across therapies. Ultimately, the significance of multivitamin supplementation in managing chronic conditions for those with disabilities was emphasized; hence, more research and advocacy efforts are needed to promote its use.
