Breast Cancer, Subtypes, Risk Factors, and Treatment
摘要
Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer worldwide, with a high prevalence and mortality rate among females globally. It is classified into various types and subtypes based on its molecular and cellular characteristics. Additionally, both genetic and nongenetic risk factors have been identified, which increase the likelihood of developing breast cancer. Furthermore, conventional and innovative treatment strategies have been developed for treating breast cancer. This chapter focuses on breast cancer, including its epidemiology, diverse types, and subtypes, as well as common therapeutic approaches. Understanding breast cancer’s causes, molecular mechanisms, and pathways leading to malignancy may lead to the discovery of novel methods for combating this disease.
