Considering the barriers that people experiencing homelessness may face in seeking and receiving healthcare and social support, technology and the Internet could represent a promising approach to addressing the health, emotional, psychological, and social needs of this population. This entry focuses on the analysis of homelessness in the context of digital and social exclusion and the intersectionality (homelessness and disability). In this entry, mobile applications as tools for counteracting the social exclusion of people experiencing homelessness are presented in the areas of health (eHealth), well-being, mental health, self-development, development of social functioning, and daily-life tasks management.
