BEAM-Combined Axial and Uniform Load

The model is a simply supported beam divided into nine (9) sections and ten (10) nodes spaced at varying distances across the beam. The beam cross section and material properties can vary across the beam and the general formulation allows for the supports to be located at any node along the beam. Although the formulation is general the model, in the following example, is simplified to reduce the complexity of the analysis.
