The Welfare State in the Making: W. Beveridge and Keynes

The social system of the post-war UK is often referred to as “Keynes = Beveridge System” after Keynes, who brought on the “Keynesian Revolution” in the field of economic theory and policy with his General Theory, and Beveridge, who laid the foundations of the social security system with the Beveridge Report.
