Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS)

This case will review the management of a patient with confusion and altered mental status. Providers should be concerned about a stroke and perform screening examinations, apply correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and ALS care and application of the ACLS algorithms in accordance to their scope of practice. There should be a review of local stroke centers, and policy-based stroke activation criteria.
