Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) with Neurogenic Shock

This case will review the management of a patient with spinal cord injury (SCI). Providers will demonstrate scene safety techniques, correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and ALS care and application of the ACLS algorithms in accordance to their scope of practice. There should be a review of local trauma hospital capabilities and resources, and policy-based activation criteria. CCT providers should demonstrate correct management of spinal cord injuries, including a review of secondary injury prevention and management of neurogenic shock.
