Traumatic Brain Injury with Elevated Intracranial Pressure
摘要
This case will review the management of an unhelmeted motorcyclist who sustains severe head trauma after being ejected during a collision. Providers will demonstrate scene safety techniques, correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and ALS care and application of the ACLS algorithms in accordance to their scope of practice. There should be a review of local trauma hospital capabilities and resources, and policy based activation criteria. CCT providers should demonstrate correct management and troubleshooting of a patient with TBI secondary to an intracranial hemorrhage requiring intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) diversion during transport.
