Respiratory Failure Requiring Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)

This case will review the management of a patient with respiratory failure secondary to a viral pneumonia, who progresses into ARDS requiring ECMO. Providers will demonstrate correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and correct application of ALS and airway management. CCT providers will also demonstrate and discuss the safe transition and transport of a patient requiring ECMO cannulation.
