Asthma Exacerbation and Respiratory Failure

This case will review the management of a patient with an acute asthma exacerbation with hypoxic respiratory failure. Providers will demonstrate scene management, correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and correct application of ALS and airway management, including possible NIPPV. CCT providers will also demonstrate advanced airway management with progressive respiratory failure and ventilator management in asthmatic patients.
