Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)

This case will review the management of a patient with shortness of breath secondary to pneumonia, who progresses into ARDS. Providers will demonstrate correct BLS techniques and knowledge about local resources and policies, and correct application of ALS techniques and airway management, in accordance with the provider’s scope of practice. CCT providers will further demonstrate advanced mechanical ventilation techniques, including troubleshooting of high peak and plateau pressures.
