A pedunculated colon polyp was removed by snare polypectomy. The pathologic diagnosis was invasive well-differentiated adenocarcinoma. The lesion invaded into the submucosa. The tumor is approximately 3.0 mm from the cauterized margin. The deep (stalk margin) was uninvolved by invasive carcinoma. Lymphovascular invasion was not identified. The carcinoma was microsatellite stable. The patient was followed closely. No evidence of disease has been detected 5 years after polyp removal.
