Paracolostomy Hernia Repair
摘要
Peristomal hernia is common because the stoma has created an unnatural defect in the abdominal wall. Protrusion of abdominal contents through the stoma fascial aperture is a consequence of the pressure differential between the intra-abdominal cavity and the atmosphere. Asymptomatic hernias do not require repair. Operations for parastomal hernia include local repair, stoma relocation, and stoma closure. Hernia repair may be done through midline, keyhole, or lateral incisions.
