Forty-Five Years of an Academic Career in Electromagnetic Research and Education

In this chapter, we provide an update of our research and educational activities in electromagnetics during the past five years since the publication of our festschrift in 2018. Specifically, we discuss research progress in Genetic Programming design and characterization of advanced Metamaterials, development of a new thin sample complex permittivity measurements, and recent developments in the Cardio-Pulmonary Stethoscope technology and its new applications. We also included a new section on academic experiences with partnership with industry, and shared a few highlights from my early life in Alexandria, Egypt and my professional career in academia. Some recent publications were cited in this chapter, but a complete list may be found in my CV Chap. 26.
