摘要
This chapter discusses professional/occupational regulation for advanced practice nurses (APNs) around the world. After a brief review of the history of nursing regulation and pertinent terms, this chapter discusses the relationship of legislation, regulations, and the structuring of health policy supportive to the professional regulation of APNs. This is followed by a discussion of APN credentialing and regulatory models. The chapter concludes with a discussion of policy implementation frameworks for APNs.
