Management of Locally Invasive and Metastatic Eyelid Tumours

Available treatments for locally advanced or metastatic cancers of the periocular region have expanded significantly in the last decade. In this chapter, we will review the new biologic and immunologic drugs available for each of the main cancer types in the periocular region and will highlight their potential use by providing examples from the published literature or from the author’s practice. Specific indications for sentinel lymph node biopsy as a method of cancer staging and for selection of patients for adjuvant therapy will also be discussed.
