Enabling Cultural Agility with Disruptive Thinking
摘要
We need new ways of thinking about cultural agility and social change. We need to think disruptively... more disruptively. This chapter explores a new way of thinking. The author “discovered” the model through his innovation journey in the technical domain... a journey on which he is grateful to have been supported and provoked by a rather eclectic cast of characters. The model systematically identifies opposing forces and resolves the tension between those opposing forces in order to provoke un-conventional solutions. Leveraging his diverse expertise in architectural design, organizational behavior, and socio-technical systems, the author applies the model to other domains—functional, organizational, behavioral, social, and cultural. Rather remarkably, in retrospect, the model finds its roots in ancient philosophy.
