Quality of Life for Few or for Many: Reflections from a Personal Experience

I’ll reflect on the importance of the welfare provided by the government, both local and central. For this chapter, I assume that all basic needs are covered. Quality of life for this chapter means more opportunities to access higher education, better financial security for the future generation, more free time, and disposable income to enjoy entertaining activities. The quality of life for some individuals can improve due to various personal and external circumstances, however this do not create social change: social change is created when the quality of life continues to improve for a large group of people, for a community of people.
