Quality of Life in the View of the Peoples

In the process of measuring the world quality of life has been monitored in recent times in most countries of the world. During the decades before the GDP was preferably used to describe the economic success of a nation. But the developed index is not at all sufficient to measure wellbeing and quality of life. More insight came with indicators like the Human Development Index (UN), the Index of Better Life (OECD), and the Weighted Index of Social Progress (Social Sciences). A new step to regard subjectively the peoples level of living is the measurement of happiness and satisfaction in a worldwide scale. The results of the various indicators are different and the best and the disadvantaged countries in the world are in discussion.
