Skeletal Anomalies and Twin Pregnancies

In twin pregnancies, the incidence of skeletal anomalies is greater, in relation to the type of twinning. The greatest incidence occurs in conjoined twins, in acardiac fetus, and in fetus in fetu. In dizygotic twins, the rate of skeletal abnormalities may occur in a similar percentage to single pregnancies.
