Virtual Element Formulation for Contact
摘要
Almost all engineering applications include structural parts that act on other elements through an area of contact. In many cases the behaviour at the contact interface has an influence on the performance of machines, looking for example at friction and wear, or on production processes like metal forming. Therefore it is necessary to capture these effects in predictive numerical simulations during the design.
