Critiquing and Claiming Memory
摘要
Much of our identity is connected to our memories, and memories, as they are told and retold, form a sustainable sense of self. Yet, it is also well established that many of our memories are faulty or partially fictionalized. Critiquing memories is a means of reshaping the past that influenced who we are now. Claiming some memories as the best version of what happened as well as who we wish to become is a means transforming the self.
