Fighting Narration

  • George H. Jensen

摘要

Genre and narrative structure provide both a perspective for viewing the self and a means of forming a stable identity. While a genre can be a way of seeing, it is also a way of not seeing. Form can both generate ideas and limit them. At times, we need a stable identity; at other times, we need to grow as individuals. In order to transform identity, authors need to resist form and fight narration.
