Preliminaries and Related Work

There are several issues in designing an efficient QoS-aware MC system. In order to resolve the issues, a thorough understanding of applications and architecture is required. Therefore, this chapter defines the models of applications, safety, system operation, hardware, and power consumption. Furthermore, in this chapter, a review of the existing literature and their drawbacks in designing an efficient QoS-aware MC system is provided to the reader.
