Indication for Lymphatic Surgery and Patient Selection

Surgery for the treatment of lymphedema has reached new levels of acceptance in recent years, and the literature to date supports its success. Many different procedures are available so that it becomes of prime importance to choose patients carefully and to recommend the most appropriate procedure for each patient. This chapter will outline the indications for lymphatic surgery as well as describing how patients are best assessed.
