Additional Payment Obligations

This chapter explains the various clauses in the LMA documentation which may result in additional costs being incurred by the borrower in addition to the agreed interest rate and fees. Principally these are the gross up clause; the increased costs clause and the indemnities. The chapter also provides a background to some of these issues including an explanation of the DTTP Scheme, FATCA and the Basel Accords.
