The (Holographic) Chemistry of Black Holes

  • Robert B. Mann

摘要

Black Hole Chemistry is a generalization of black hole thermodynamics that includes pressure as a thermodynamic variable. Since the pressure is given in terms of a negative cosmological constant \(\varLambda \) , the holographic interpretation of black hole chemistry has been puzzling. Here I review the basic formulation of black hole chemistry along with its key findings over the past decade. I then review recent progress on the holographic interpretation of the subject, including the Holographic Smarr Relation, Complexity and Thermodynamic Volume, and Central Charge Criticality.
