The Importance of Patent Registration in the Way of Generating Wealth for Nations

This paper approaches the importance of technological development, as well as patent registration and consequent innovation. The main country/blocks that interact with each other in the business of the respective product innovation through the registration of patents are analyzed. The creation of wealth in the world moves between 5 blocks, designated IP5. The champions of triadic patents, that is patents registered in 3 blocks, are analyzed. The big 5, that is champions of patents registered in five countries/blocks, that is, “pentactic” patents are also analyzed. The countries belonging to these blocks are those who contribute most for wealth creation in the world.
