Exploring the Relationship Between Social Stratification and Entrepreneurship in International Business (The Case of Bangkok, Thailand)

This research investigates how social stratification significantly influences Entrepreneurship Development in Bangkok, Metropolitan, Thailand. The researcher applies the qualitative research method to explore the disparate experiences of a group of entrepreneurs and describe how they addressed their international business challenges. Researchers apply saturation and the Delphi technique to determine sample size. This research applies purposive sampling; 32 entrepreneurs with a minimum 5-year experience operating an international business in Bangkok metropolitan, Thailand, collect in-depth interviews and analyze information through content analysis. Research results, three critical issues significantly influence entrepreneurship development: entrepreneurial opportunities, resources, and entrepreneurial abilities. In the case of international business in Bangkok, Thailand, social stratification significantly impacts three critical issues: entrepreneurial opportunities, resources, and entrepreneurial abilities. However, the significant improvement in technology and accessibility, such as internet-based platforms, media (especially social media), and online-educational resources, relatively empower the new entrepreneur.
