Problems of Modeling Safe Operation of Technical Devices with Radiating Plasma on Transport

摘要

The paper considers the problems arising in the modeling of safe operation of transport technical devices containing radiating arc plasma. Calculation of radiative heat transfer in modeling the operation of such devices causes significant difficulties associated with the need to solve the radiative transfer equation in the arc plasma. Direct integration of the radiative transfer equation is the most time-consuming part of the modeling problem. The procedure for obtaining asymptotic decomposition for integral solution of the problem of radiation heat exchange in cases of optically thin and optically dense arc plasma is presented in the work. The accuracy of approximation of the integral solution by its asymptotic expansion is analyzed. It is shown that the obtained asymptotic expansion can be used to approximate the integral solution with a controlled degree of accuracy. In the case of homogeneous plasma the explicit expressions for calculations of the energy losses by radiation from the near-axis region of the arc and the energy flux of radiation exiting from the surface of the plasma column are obtained. The fields of application of approximation formulas in calculations of radiative heat transfer depending on the value of the required relative error of calculations are determined. The use of approximation formulas significantly reduces the complexity and increases the accuracy of solving the problem of calculating radiative heat transfer when modeling the operation of technical devices containing radiating plasma.
