Possibilities of Expanding the Mineral Resource as a Base of Ferrous Metallurgy
摘要
This article focused on the development of metallurgical production in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan's total demand for ferrous metals rolling is about 1.8 million tons per year are 74% satisfied by imports, and consumers, it turns out, are forced to pay not only for the metal itself, but also for its transportation. And the steel needs in Uzbekistan, due to the development of the economy and the implementation of many investment projects, are actively growing. Any projects, such as housing, industrial or social facilities, ultimately rest on steel: reinforcement, structures, and roofing. The mineral resource base of ferrous metallurgy of Uzbekistan is considered. The article shows that the introduction of innovative iron ore mining projects will not only compensate for outgoing resources with a high iron content, but also to ensure the necessary growth of its production. The main problems of development of this industry in the territories of Uzbekistan, as well as problems in the creation of a raw material base of primary iron in the republic are identified. From the analysis, it is shown that the republic has sufficient potential for mineral resources for the development of ferrous metallurgy for the long term.
