Significance of Organic Agricultural Practices in the Transition to a Green Economy in Uzbekistan

In connection with Uzbekistan's accession to the Paris Agreement on climate change, the country has committed itself to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing environmental impact. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture is possible through the introduction of organic farming methods. In Uzbekistan, as in all countries, natural, climatic, weather changes, along with the consequences of human activities, lead to increased soil degradation, limited water resources and deterioration of their quality, and a reduction in bio-diversity. The connection between climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions and the occurrence of natural disasters, as well as conclusions substantiated by ex-pert experts on the irreversible consequences of global warming (lack of drinking water, famine, epidemics, social conflicts, political disagreements and other threats) for all countries of the world, proven by scientists of the world led to the strengthening of the joint actions of the world community in the fight against climate change. Organic agriculture, with the right approach, is highly effective not only in ensuring the food security of the population, but also in solving a wide range of social and environmental problems.
