Existing Problems in the Process of Devitalization and Drying of Mulberry Silkworm Cocoon and Its Solution
摘要
In recent years, the cultivation of cocoons and their primary processing in Uzbekistan has decreased a little. The quality indicators of the grown cocoons did not fully meet the requirements of the foreign and domestic market. The purchase prices of cocoons grown in the republic are much lower than the world market indicators. The most pressing challenge of the cocooning industry is to establish competitive high-quality cocoon and silk fiber production. In mulberry silkworm cocoon deactivation, special attention is paid to the creation of energy and resource-efficient methods and devices that provide complete deactivation of the cocoon without bursting, compared to heat and chemical treatment. For this reason, it is urgent to develop electrotechnology, which ensures complete immobilization while preventing cocoon rupture, as well as justifying its technological parameters and operating modes. Use of ultra-high frequency (UHF) electromagnetic field in mulberry silkworm cocoon inactivation and drying. In this method, the mulberry silkworm cocoon inside the cocoon becomes dead and dries slowly as a result of the internal heat exchange that occurs in the high-frequency electric field.
