Business Process Reengineering of the Existing Enterprise: Evolutionary and Radical Approaches
摘要
The object of the research is the methods of radical and evolutionary business process reengineering. The aim of the article is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for conducting business process reengineering. The main methods of research are the analysis and generalization of reviewed articles from the following databases: ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Google Scholar. To achieve this goal, a comparative analysis of the radical and evolutionary approaches to reengineering was conducted; the algorithms of their implementation and the possible indicators of efficiency are presented. Although both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of which one to use depends on the specific circumstances of the organization, the author argues in favor of the evolutionary approach to business process reengineering in the current conditions of high volatility of the external environment and economic recession. The article provides justification that the level of costs is a universal and informative economic indicator of the effectiveness of reengineering, since it takes into account both the financial and non-financial aspects of the reengineering process.
