Justification of the Design and Operating Parameters of the Waterless Root Crops Cleaner
摘要
The article substantiates the need for cleaning root crops from contaminants and also the need for improving devices that do not use water during the operation. The device for waterless cleaning of root crops from contaminants, involving the combined use of vibrating and flexible work tools is suggested. A diagram of the interaction between the cleaning tools and material to be cleaned is shown. The experimental research methodology included a multifactorial experiment. The criterion for optimizing the performance of the waterless cleaner was the efficiency of root crops. The results of the device experimental research for waterless cleaning of root crops are also given. Based on this, a regression equation is derived which adequately describes the technological process. The parameters both kinematic and technological influencing the process of root crops cleaning are defined. The response surfaces from research factors influencing the efficiency of root crops cleaning and also their analysis are presented. The rational parameters of experimental laboratory sample operation are defined. The device for waterless cleaning can be used in post-harvest and pre-sale preparation of root crops as well as in preparation of feed mixes. The aim of the investigation is the increasing of cleaning efficiency by justification of rational parameters of waterless cleaner.
