Specifics of Digital Competence and Coping Behavior of Students with Different Levels of Life Meaningfulness
摘要
The specifics of digital competence and coping behavior of students with different levels of life meaningfulness are revealed. A study was conducted on the influence of life-meaning orientations on the characteristics of coping behavior of young people and the formation of digital competence. The study participants were 255 students. It is shown that the level of life meaningfulness affects the digital competence index and the coping behavior strategies severity. It is concluded that respondents with a high level of life meaningfulness use productive coping strategies—a disposition to solve a problem, a willingness to work hard, a positive attitude, spiritual resources search; convey the conviction of friends’ and inner circle’s support. Respondents with a low level of life meaningfulness are statistically significantly more likely to use unproductive behavioral strategies—faith in a miracle, anxiety, shutting oneself up and ignoring. The hypothesis about the influence of high values of life meaningfulness on the severity of productive strategies of coping behavior was confirmed. The trend on the impact of high indicators of life meaningfulness on the degree of mastering digital literacy and the severity of the digital competence index does not have statistically significant differences.
