Deterministic Model for Planning Repair and Restoration Works on the Street-Road Network

The problems of planning repair and restoration works on the street-road network (SRN) are analyzed. An approach to the optimization of the network time schedule by changing the relationship between the works, i.e., by revising the structure of the network schedule, as well as the transition from the normal duration of the works to the minimum duration is proposed. That is, taking measures to increase the number of road-building machinery and workers, the introduction of additional shifts, the organization of parallel work, the selection of innovative materials. A mathematical formulation of the problem of choosing the number of performers according to the criteria of time and cost of repair has been performed. The simulation of the stages of the repair work network plan with the developed simulation model, which is a multi-channel network of mass service, which assumes the expectation of the whole set of resources, necessary to start the work, has been carried out. The analysis of change in costs over time has been conducted, and an integral curve of direct costs and overheads has been constructed. That allows determining the optimal value of costs, corresponding to the network schedule, reflecting the best ratio between the duration of repair and its cost.
