摘要

Object: This article describes the place and role of the unified time system in the telecommunications system, gives an overview of its functioning process, and highly highlights main the risks of disruption of the transmission of signals at the exact time. Purpose: Based on the analysis of the process of functioning of CEV the system and risk analysis, a semi-Markov model of the attacker’s actions in the implementation of an attack of manipulation of messages containing signals of the exact time, which subsequently serves as the basis for assessing the stationary characteristics of the attack process and the coefficient of the CEV system performance. Method: In this article, a semi-Markov model of the actions of an attacker during the implementation of this attack has been developed. This model is universal and is distinguished by the completeness of state accounting, regardless of the sources of accurate time signals used, the means of transmission, and the protocols used. Results: As a outcome of the simulation, estimates of the stationary characteristics of the attack process were obtained: the time of the attack and recovery from its consequences, as well as the coefficient of correct operation of the SEV system. The outcomes obtained will allow, based on the analysis of individual means of protection of the STS system, the analysis of statistics of reflected and completed attacks, as well as certain testing methods, to evaluate the indicators of security and vulnerability of the SEV system, and, therefore, to draw a conclusion about the advisability of using or implementing a particular type of protection tools.
