Integrated Sensing and Communications for Emerging Applications in 6G Wireless Networks
摘要
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) technology on both state-of-the-art methods and emerging applications. First, the general backgrounds of radar and communications are reviewed separately, thereby inducing the motivations of ISAC. Next, the waveform design as the core of ISAC is introduced from two perspectives, namely, non-overlapped resource allocation and unified resource allocation. Finally, key ISAC applications are summarized, involving intelligent connected vehicles, perceptive mobile network, and wireless local area network (WLAN) sensing. The goal of this work is to provide high-level insights on the applications of the ISAC technology toward the future 6G wireless networks.
