摘要

The utilization of nanocomposite materials is ideally suited for additive manufacturing. They have the amazing ability to\ modify their physical, chemical, and biological features to adapt to changing environments. Nanocomposite materials are suited for AM because they have a higher surface-to-volume ratio in the reinforced phase. It has been briefly examined the TiC/Ti nanocomposite, ceramic-based nanocomposite, Polyamide/yttria-stabilized zirconia nanocomposite, and PA6/hectorite clay nanocomposites. The manufacturing processes used in additive manufacturing include SLA, 3DP, SLS, EP, FDM, LOM etc. This chapter covers the fundamentals of seven AM processes and their mechanical characteristics. There is great potential for using nanomaterials in AM, and academia and business are becoming increasingly interested in finding new developments. The collaborative energy between new innovative nanomaterials and AM processes will shape the future of additive manufacturing (AM) and nanocomposites.
